The Panama School District will provide breakfast and lunch to any Panama resident between the ages 0 - 18 starting Monday, March 23rd and will run every Monday - Thursday until school is back in session. Panama Middle School Cafeteria will have to go breakfast and lunches available. Between 10 and 11 a.m. come to the front door and a school employee will meet you outside the front door with a sack lunch (DO NOT ENTER THE FRONT DOOR). Children between the ages 0 - 18 must be present to receive their breakfast/lunch bag. Bus Routes--starting at 10 am, we will run routes and stop at regular bus routes and all other houses we know have children between the ages of 0 -18. We will be using our school vans to deliver breakfast/lunch to our out of town routes and our small activity bus will run the in town route. We will stop at each house and honk if children are not already outside. After the second honk, we will wait 30 seconds and then go to the next stop. Anyone 0 - 18 wanting the meals, will need to come outside to the school vehicles. This will be a work in progress if you do not receive food any day and want to receive please call the office and let us know. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during these times. Due to the holidays, the yearbook early bird special has been extended until Friday, December 6. That is also the day that the balance is due for the Sr. ad pages. We need their ad page pictures that day if possible. We also need a baby picture, which is not related to ad pages. All seniors need to bring one.

Panama High School Class Ring Order day is tomorrow, Tuesday, October 8th. A down payment of $60 dollars is required. Seniors will be placing their Graduation Announcement and Cap and Gown order Tuesday, October 8th. The Balfour company will be accepting orders starting at 9:15 a.m. at the high school. Please bring your deposit or pay in full along with your completed order form. If you are ordering over $80 dollars of announcement items, please bring an $80.00 deposit and pay the rest between order day and delivery. If you are only ordering a cap and gown set the price is $38 dollars.
Panama Cheerleaders are hosting a mini cheer camp October 15th and 16th for headstart thorugh 3rd grade. The camp will be held in the Elementary Gym.

The 2018-2019 yearbook will be on sale for $50.00 to anyone who missed ordering one last year. This sale will be on a first come first serve basis. There will not be any more ordered after this sale. Spread the word to anyone who may have missed getting one last year. Also, the 2019-2020 yearbooks go on sale, Monday, September 9. The Early Bird price is $40.00. Order forms will be available at both Elementary locations. High School and Middle School students may pick up an order form from Mrs. Skinner. Once the early bird price is over, the yearbooks cost increases to $50.00 and must be purchased online.

Panama Schools will be holding their end of year awards ceremonies Tuesday, May 7th. Upper and Lower Elementary will have their ceremonies in the Elementary gym starting at 9:00 am. The High School/Middle school ceremonies will be held in the old High School gym next to the high school. The Middle school ceremony starts at 10:15 with the High School ceremony following at 11:00 a.m.
Panama Elementary is hosting a Quarter Drive to help with medical costs for Brooklynn Baukman of Spiro OK. She has been diagnosed with Polycystic kidney disease PKD. The grade that brings the most quarters will receive a pizza party.
Our Drama team is performing “Diary of Ann Frank” Friday night at 7 pm, Saturday night at 7 pm, and Sunday afternoon at 2 pm. The drama will be performed at the Event Center.
Sports/Band/Cheerleader physicals will be given Wednesday, April 24th. Students in fifth through eleventh grade will receive physical application paperwork to take home today. Students must bring 15 dollars and physical paperwork signed by parents in order for students to receive physicals.
There will be no school Friday April 19th or Monday April 22nd. Summer School Drivers Ed begins May 20th at the Middle School. Class Times to be announced later. 1st 15 students with completed forms and payment will be accepted. Forms and payment due by May 2nd. Cost is $155 per student. For students out of the school district cost is $175. No Checks accepted. Cash or Money Orders only. Students must be 15 years or older by June 1, 2019. No refunds given after May 2nd.
First Baptist Easter Egg Hunt
Parents of High School students will be receiving calls in the afternoon on days their student receives an unexcused absence. This courtesy call will let parents know their student was not at school. There will be no school Friday, April 12th.

Proceeds from concession sales and donations will go to the Panama City Park fund. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Performers include Jay and Kelly Falkner, Black Diamonds, and Felisha McB. Burgers and concession will be available. Bring out the family for a good evening out.
Some people are having trouble with their online yearbook purchase. The yearbook staff has decided to have a three-day window to buy yearbooks at the school. This will be done in Mrs. Skinner's room. The price is $50.00, and the sale will start Tuesday, March 26 through Thursday, March 28. This will be the last opportunity to purchase a yearbook for the 2018-2019 school year.
Panama Schools will not be in session Friday, March 8th in order for teachers to attend professional development. This day is a scheduled day off according to the school calendar. The Panama Special Olympics Team will be hosting a fundraiser basketball game, Thursday, March 14th at 1:00PM in the Event Center. The Panama High School Razorbacks will be competing against local law enforcement officers. There will be no charge for admission, but a concession stand will be available. Elementary students received a concession preorder form that is due Monday, March 11th. A copy of the preorder form is available on the PTO Facebook Page. They will also be having a "Cream a Cop" contest, so bring your dollars to vote for the officer that you want to get a pie in the face!
The PHS Student Council is hosting a variety show Friday, March 1st at the Event Center. Elementary students have been invited to attend. There is no cost but there is a concession. Students may preorder snacks to avoid the long concession lines. All items are a dollar. The deadline is Wednesday, morning. Finally, on Monday, March 4th Heritage Portraits will be at the elementary to take spring pictures. The theme this year is 'The Beach'. There is no cost to take pictures but if students want to take buddy pictures there will be a $2 charge."
Panama Youth Baseball camp will be held Saturday, March 9th 2019. Grades k-6 runs from 9 to 12. The pitching and catching camp starts at 1 p.m. and runs until 3:30 p.m. Each camp cost is $25 dollars. For those wanting to complete both camps, the cost is $40 dollars. The location for the camps is the Panama High School baseball field. Each camper gets a t-shirt. The camps are conducted by Coaches Chris Gollihare, Wes Tackett, Randy Darneal, and Richard Cheely along with high school baseball players. All participants need to bring a glove, personal helmet, and a bat if they have one. A Concession stand is available. Registration forms and payment are due by February 27th. The Upper and Lower Elementary Offices have extra registration forms.
FFA is selling Blue and Gold sausage. See a member to order your sausage, chicken, or bacon. Orders and money are due Feb 15.
We have three brief announcements. First Little League Baseball signup is Sunday, Feb. 10th, starting at 1 p.m. at the high school cafeteria. Next, the Upper Elementary is having a Valentines dance Friday February 8th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Elementary Cafeteria. Cost is three dollars. There will be a concession, bubble wrap dance, and a photo area. Finally, Valentine’s Day will be next Thursday. Parents please understand, we can no longer allow Valentines deliveries at any of our school sites. We feel this decision is in the best interest of our students. Thank you for understanding.
Senior Cap & Gown Pictures are Wednesday, February 6th 10:00 AM at the Panama Event Center. Dress Code is required. Boys: A white dress shirt, black tie, black dress slacks with black dress shoes or dress boots. Girls: A red, black or white dress with black dress shoes. No flip-flop type shoes are allowed.

Greetings, during our parent teacher conference, Thursday Evening, yearbooks from previous years will be on sale at the high school. Students will be set up in the hallway with the yearbooks. Cost is $10 per book. There is a span of years but most are between 2007 to 2011.

Correction to Ball Game
A 5th grade basketball game is scheduled for Jan. 16th at 12:30 in the Elementary gym. There will be a concession. Students need to bring money for concession items.
Wednesday, January 16th, the fourth and fifth grade boys and girls will be playing McCurtain at the Elementary Gym starting at 9:00 a.m. Panama students get into the game free. There will be a concession so we encourage parents to provide students with funds for concession.
Santa pictures will be taken at the Lower Elementary Library on Friday, December 14th. Cost is $15 per package. Payment is due at the time of pictures.

Greetings, Panama Schools has two important announcements: The Community Christmas Tree lighting and the change in date for the Alumni Football game. Friday night the Community Christmas tree lighting will begin promptly at six pm. Our High School Band, Panama Headstart, our Miss Panama winners, some of our students in our school along with Solid Rock children's choir have worked really hard to present a quality program to the community. Please come out and support them. Finally, due to possible inclement weather Saturday Evening, the Alumni Football game is rescheduled to Friday night at 7. The teams have worked really hard preparing for the annual game as well. Please support them.

The Panama Elementary book fair family night will be Monday, November 5th from 4 p.m. til 6 p.m. Tuesday is election day. Panama schools will not be in session on Tuesday. This scheduled day off will allow teachers and staff the opportunity to vote and help others get to voting stations. Many area schools scheduled their districts to be out of session Tuesday for the same reason.
Panama Elementary pictures are scheduled to be taken this Thursday, October 11th.
The Panama Cheer leaders are selling Pink Out shirts for the October 5th game. The fundraiser supports breast cancer awareness that reaches even our own school employees. Cost is $12. The last day to buy is Friday September 21. Mini Cheer camp forms are due Thursday, Sept. 20th. Please meet the deadline because forms cannot be accepted after the due date.
Friday morning a life flight helicopter will be landing at the lower elementary around 8:30 or 9 a.m. The purpose is provide the students a show and tell experience with the helicopter. While this mainly affects the lower elementary, we wanted to let parents from all schools know to avoid any concerns.

If you do not receive a call and want to be contacted for school information, please contact your student's office by calling 918-963-2215 and selecting the school your student attends. Note: Our calling system is having issues with answering machines. We have a trouble ticket submitted.

We would like to invite the Panama community to help us honor outgoing Superintendent Grant Ralls as he enters his retirement. We also want to welcome incoming Superintendent Dusty Walden and his family to the Razorback District. The event will be held at the Elementary Cafeteria, Saturday, July 21st from 6 to 8 p.m. Hot dogs, drinks, and cake will be provided.
Youth Football Camp
Youth Football Camp . The Youth Football camp starts Thursday, August 2nd and ends Friday August 3rd. The event is being held at the football field. Forms can be obtained at the High School Office and those participating must have a completed form turned in to the office with payment by July 18th. Cost is 30 dollars.
Yearbooks will be available for pickup Thursday from 8 a.m. til 12 p.m. at the High School. Those who are unable to make it can pick up their yearbook at the start of school in August.

The Panama Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is hosting the annual Raffle Extravaganza Saturday, February 3rd at the Elementary Cafeteria. Doors open at 6:30 and the Raffle rounds begin at 7. Entry fee is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children 10 and under.
Due to excessive absences brought on by sickness, Mr. Ralls determined the best course of action to follow is to dismiss school for the next three days starting Wednesday, Jan. 24th. While students are away, we will disinfect all classrooms and common areas in each of the schools in an effort to make the school environment safer. We hope everyone gets well and look for a safe return to normal school schedules, Monday, January 29th. The high school basketball game will be played tonight at the event center.

Our staff counts it a privilege to teach your students. The weather has been quite cold the past few days and our staff has reacted to protect students from the cold. Mr. Ralls has determined it is in the best interest of student education for Wednesday and the rest of the week to be regular school days. Absences will not be excused due to weather conditions unless traffic safety on bus routes is impacted due to changing weather conditions. The annual PTO food drive has kicked off for the 2017 holiday season. The upper and lower elementary students will be collecting non-perishable food items through November 15th. Food collected during this time will be distributed to area families in need just before Thanksgiving break. The class that collects the most items will get a pizza party provided by PTO. If you know of a family in need you may contact the lower or upper elementary office for a form. Thank you for your help in teaching our kids the importance of giving and helping others in our community.
The Scholastic Book Fair is heading our way! It will be at our school Weekdays November 2nd through 8th. During school hours. Visit the Lower Elementary Library for all the fun!
